Considered the oldest conservation society in Britain, The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust (http://www.shakespeare.org.uk/index.php) was founded in 1847.
The mission of the Trust is to maintain, preserve and promote appreciation of the various Shakespeare properties, his body of work and records, manuscripts, pictures, etc. which reference the life and tiems of William Shakespeare.
